Regarding the use of 'Composite School Grant' to meet the hygiene related facilities and WASH related requirements under the 'Wash in School' programme.

 Regarding the use of 'Composite School Grant' to meet the hygiene related facilities and WASH related requirements under the 'Wash in School' programme. 

Under the Integrated Scheme for School Education "Whole Education", one-time composite school grants are allotted for the construction and maintenance of infrastructural and necessary facilities in schools.  Under this scheme, schools are given an annual allowance of Rs.  10,000 / - to Rs.  Up to Rs. 1,00,000 / -, out of which Rs. 1,000 / - to Rs.

 Guidelines for the use of grants for the WASH in School program under the Composite Schoolgrant:

 At least 10% of the composite school grant allotted to schools needs to be used to promote Swarach Bharat Abhiyan, WASH facilities and to meet WASH related needs.

If the drinking water and hand washing facility is non-functioning, make necessary improvements or repairs so that the entire unit can be operated.

 Clean water is required to indicate things like clean and safe toilets and hand washing with soap

Repair of taps / pipelines to ensure availability of water for drinking and hand washing, sanitation and toilets.

  Repair of water tank and cleaning at least 3 times a year to make necessary minor repairs in the rainwater harvesting facility available in the school

 If other essential needs have become available, to make the necessary changes in the height of the drinking water facility to make the child useful.

 To repair toilet doors and faucets so that safety is maintained in the toilet.

 To buy sanitary napkins for emergencies: Toilet Cleaner, Phenyl, Soap, Q, Hand Sanitizer, Surface Disinfectant / Bleach, Lime Powder,

 Sweeper, bucket and tub (mug) in toilet unit, cleaning cloth, nail cutter.

 To provide soap and water for hand washing according to the number of students (10 students)

Separate facility for hand washing soap in the following places in case of special need * At the place of lunch: Washing hands before and after eating.

 Wash hands after use near the toilet

 MDM, cook and assistant to wash hands before, during and after cooking

To provide sanitizilicweed soap for students and staff in schools which do not have space for hand washing facility.

 In the above matter, it should be mentioned that every school has to strictly implement the instructions given in the reference letter-1 regarding the use and utilization of Composite School Grant
